Dear Parents and Students,

Short Week:  There is no school this Thursday and Friday due to Teachers Conference in Appleton.

Thanks & Sorry:  I want to thank everyone who made Family Fun Night with basketball and pizza such a success.  I was only able to stay for half the girls game, but congratulations on the win.  Same to the boys.  Thanks Mr. Livingston and Mr. Utecht for the activities and pizza.

        The apology goes to those who came to play a little ball, but were not included because their child was not on any of the STORM teams.  I apologize for that.  It was an oversight on our part.  We promise to remedy that in the future.  We will sponsor and promote events that include all students in age appropriate activities with their parents.  We also realized that the evening got a bit late.  We won’t try to pack so much into one night next time.

Box Tops & Milk Caps:  Fourth graders have $35.00 worth so far.  What does your class have?  The contest will conclude February 23.  We will mail them in Feb. 26. 

Basketball:  The 4^th grade boys have a game here tonight at 5:30 against St. Paul, Algoma.  The B team lost both games of their tournament this past Saturday, but have shown remarkable improvement.  We thank Scott Steebs and Tom Haight for the time and effort they put into instructing these young players.

        Spirit Week continues today with Summer/Hat Day, Tuesday-Career Day, and Wednesday-Red, White, and Blue Day.  There will also be a Pep Rally on Wednesday at 2:00.  The A Team tournament will be this weekend (Feb. 12,13,14).  Our Girls play Friday at 5:05 vs. Algoma.  Our Boys A team will play Friday at 7:15 vs. First German.  These games are at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.  Come cheer on the STORM in post-season action.

        We also have school apparel available for your purchase outside the Principal’s Office.  Pricing and available sizes are now posted.  Get some good old “read, white, and blue” STORM clothing and cheer your teams on during the tournaments.

Preschool Preview & LES Open House:  Even with the current cutbacks, we are determined to provide a quality preschool program here at St. Peters.  Our Preschool Preview will be on Tuesday, February 23, beginning at 5:30.  This will be followed by an all school open house and pizza and entertainment at 6:30.  Come and join us for an enjoyable, informational evening.

Honor Roll:  Grade point averages include Religion (Memory Treasures, Bible History, and Catechism combined), Math, English, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies, and Science.  The A Honor Roll is for students who have a 3.5 or higher average and the B Honor Roll is for students with a 3.0-3.49 average.
