Dear Parents and Students,
Women’s Brown Paper Bag Day of Prayer: Please join us on March 20th for Repentance, Renewal, and Revival at the Women’s Brown Paper Bag Day of Prayer. Registration forms are in our entry areas. Call Judy Schumacher at 559.9550 for details. Registration deadline is March 8th.
Baptism Sunday: As we celebrate the blessing of faith in Jesus by baptism, St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church will be offering Christian baptism for any infant or young children in the community whose parents desire it. The baptisms will be done during the 10:05 A.M. worship service or at a private time on Sunday, March 14. The whole theme of this special worship service will be the meaning of baptism in the daily life of the believer. The Outreach Team will host a social in the Sunroom following the service. All are welcome to attend. Those parents interested in baptism for their infants or young children are asked to contact Pastor Kolterjahn at 743-4431 ext. 165 or at sp.dkolterjahn@charter.net by Tuesday, March 9.
Lent Services: Church services are at 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM. Plan to attend the fellowship meal from 5:00 to 6:15, prior to the evening service. I don’t have the menu for this week, but come join us anyway.
Thrivent Financial Bridge Grant: Help us raise $10,760. Designate your donation for the school and Thrivent will match $.50 of every $1.00. The money will go toward the Building Fund. Everyone at St. Peters can help out! This is a one time deal and you don’t need to be a Thrivent member to help. There are no forms but the checks should be designated for the school and placed in a household envelope marked Thrivent Bridge Funding.
Box Tops & Milk Caps: Our students collected 1539 milk caps and 2836 Box Tops for a total dollar amount of $360.55. That was just one month. Although our contest is over, we still collect these and Econo receipts all year long. Although the 5th-6th grades had the highest dollar amount collected ($79.35), the Kindergarten had the highest amount per child. Congratulations, Kindergarten, on winning the ice cream party!
Basketball: The boys B team lost by five to St. Mary’s, Algoma and by two to St. Paul, Algoma on Saturday. They beat MC Badger on Sunday. Thank you coaches Scot Steebs and Tom Haight for all the work you did.
Please turn in all cleaned uniforms to Mr. Livingstone by Wednesday. Team pictures will be announced shortly.
