Dear Parents and Students,
Softball: Softball Practice will start this Tuesday, March 16th from 2:45-5:00. Those interested in participating should bring a glove and be dressed in athletic clothes. Practice will be on Tuesday and Thursday each week.
Track: A head track coach is needed this year for the school. If you are available to help in this capacity please contact Mr. Livingston. Practice days can be arranged once a coach is established.
Jump/Hoops for Heart: Thank you Mrs. Maas, volunteer helpers, and all the children who participated in the Jump Rope or Hoops for Heart this past Saturday. The money raised goes to the American Heart Association.
Women’s Brown Paper Bag Day of Prayer: Please join us on March 20th at the Women’s Brown Paper Bag Day of Prayer. Call Judy Schumacher at 559-9550 for details. Today is the last day for registration. All women are welcome.
Baptisms: Congratulations to the Stamm family as their children Sierra, Stephen, and Gabe were baptized this Sunday. We welcome them into the family of Christ and to St. Peters. May you all grow closer to God throughout your life.
Lent Services: Church services are at 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM. The Fellowship Meal is from 5:00 to 6:15. The meal is sponsored by the Outreach Team and is corn beef and cabbage, chicken soup, hotdogs, and green koolaid.
Thrivent Financial Bridge Grant: We still have a ways to go to raise $10,760. Thrivent will match half of what we raise. Checks should be designated for the school and placed in an envelope marked Thrivent Bridge Funding. The money indirectly helps the school by going toward the Building Fund. Nearly $3000 has been given so far.
MLHS Scrip Tuition Program: Brochures from Manitowoc Lutheran High School regarding their Scrip Tuition Program are outside my office. If you are considering MLHS for your child(ren)’s high school education, you may want to look into this to begin covering the cost of tuition. St. Peters also has its own SCRIP for Tuition Program.
Reminders: Many brochures were handed out either late last week or this week: MLHS summer sports camps; YMCA brochure; Census reminders with pencil; Door County Soccer Association registration forms (includes 5 year olds); British Soccer Camp (forms outside school office). Also, 5th-8th graders, don’t forget Camp Bird! Extra forms are outside my office.
Lost and Found: A table in the Sunroom is loaded with found items. It will stay up through the end of this week. Please look for any items that are yours and take them with you.
Singing: K-8 students will practice with the choir this Sunday at 9:30 for their song on Palm Sunday, March 28th.
