Welcome to the St. Peters Lutheran Elementary School website. Information on the purpose and importance of our school are included. If you have any questions that the website doesn't answer, give me a call at the number listed below or stop in and visit.
St. Peters Lutheran School exists to provide excellence in Christ-centered, Bible-based education for today, tomorrow, and forever. We educate the whole child in spirit, mind, and body, meeting or exceeding the educational standards provided by other institutions in the community.
The key to the excellent education: St. Peters School offers is its curriculum, the course of study that we follow. Every subject in our school is informed by the principles articulated in God's Word. Every lesson opens a window onto some aspect of God's creation and helps students see God's hand in the world around them. Every day brings opportunities for students to grow in their knowledge of God and in their desire to serve Him and their neighbor. And every class helps children prepare to take their place as citizens of God's kingdom, bringing God's reconciling love to a world that should acknowledge Him as Creator, Savior, and Comforter.
Teachers, parents, students, and the supporting members of St. Peters Lutheran Church pledge to strive together towards that purpose under the guidance of God's Word and through the blessing of God's love and grace.
The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, "Follow me." Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. Philip found Nathaniel and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about the whom the prophets also wrote - Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." "Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?" Nathaniel asked. "Come and see," said Philip. (John 1:43-46)
Philip said it the best. It was quite eloquent. "Come and see!"

School History

St. Peters Lutheran Elementary School (LES) first opened its doors in the fall of 1983. The building itself was built in 1964 and was used for Catechism classes and Sunday School. Principal Frank Corona and two additional teachers welcomed sixty students. The next year another teacher was added and St. Peters began a boys basketball team. Since then girls and boys basketball, cheerleading, coed soccer, girls volleyball, girls and boys softball, and coed track have been added as extracurricular sports.

Mission Statement
"Excellence in Education to Grow in Christ and to Share Christ"
St. Peters LES and Preschool exists to ensure that all students receive the best possible education grounded in the truths of God's Holy Word. It is to assist parents in the training of their children to become active members of God's family. Proverbs 22:6 "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Since the school is an arm of the church, our Mission is reflective of the Mission of our congregation, which is "We Exist to Share Christ."
