	"Train up a child in the way he should go, And even when he is old he not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 sets the tone and the core belief of St. Peter's congregation. Through many avenues St. Peters defines its conviction to train its children in the ways of the Lord. One of those avenues is Lutheran Christian Doctrine or LCD. This is a program from preschool through 8th grade to teach children a basic understanding and comprehension of God's Word and His role in a Christian life. Progressing from one grade to another children grow to develop an understanding of the importance of the Lord and their place in His kingdom. Trained volunteers work with an established curriculum, which creates an atmosphere of learning using workbooks, videotapes, life lessons and music. The kids quickly learn that learning about Jesus Christ can be fun and relate directly to them personally. The children in 8th grade are prepared to become Confirmed in the Lord and to then take an active part in the Congregation and to receive the Lord's Supper. These classes are currently scheduled from 8:45 until 9:55 every Sunday morning.
