Gary Thoma

My name is Gary Thoma and I am privileged to serve as 5th and 6th grade teacher here at St. Peter's Lutheran School.  I am blessed to be married to Rebekah Thoma, who serves as St. Peter's kindergarten teacher.  We have five children of our own: Brenna, Sam, Elena, Ben, and Jon.

I have enjoyed teaching for 38 years in a variety of settings.  I've served at St. Andrew in Chicago, Riverview Lutheran in Appleton, and now in Sturgeon Bay since 2006.  I have past experience as a principal, an athletic director, a 7-8 grade teacher, and currently enjoy directing the spring musical each year at St. Peter.  My favorite part of teaching is being able to apply God's Word to the lives of my students and encouraging them to grow in their faith life.
